This seemed to be a natural to try in monochrome. After converting it though I always have a hard time choosing which I like best. The blue sky in the color image is so deep and perfect, but all the contrast in the scene just lends itself to the monochrome image. Guess I'll just pick them both.

I made the above panorama from eight images stitched together. It is taken from my spot overlooking the valley. Right in the center is where I grew up.

Black & white of Lake Almanor basin.
Looking south/east from the park road near the summit. I posted a similar shot in color on my Flickr photostream. I can't make up my mind which I like best.
